My home is a museum curated with love
How I transform my home into my own private collection of beautiful memories, art, and love experiences.

Make home, Make love
“My home reflects the deep love I have for multiple art forms. I deeply value art in it's multiple registers and I've offered my home as a living archive."
When Luther Vandross said, "A house is not a home" I felt it with every cell in my being. I've come to understand a home as a scared place I have curated with love offerings.
My touch unlocks something magical. My eye for detail imagines beyond. My love for living amongst beauty is contagious.
With my keen attention to detail, when I touched my home, I touched God. This is deeply inspired by this passage from Alice Walker.
"I notice that it is only when my mother is working in her flowers that she is radiant, almost to the point of being invisible-except as Creator: hand and eye. She is involved in work her soul must have. Ordering the universe in the image of her personal conception of Beauty. Her face, as she prepares the Art that is her gift, is a legacy of respect she leaves to me, for all that illuminates and cherishes life. She has handed down respect for the possibilities-and the will to grasp them. For her, so hindered and intruded upon in so many ways, being an artist has still been a daily part of her life. This ability to hold on, even in very simple ways, is work black women have done for a very long time. This poem is not enough, but it is something, for the woman who literally covered the holes in our walls with sunflowers..." - excerpt from In Search of Our Mother's Garden, p. 408
